1. Identify the spill
- Check the Safety Data Sheet (SDS)
- Stop the leak at the source if possible
3. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Select PPE appropriate to the chemical or liquid type.
4. Contain & Absorb the Spill
- Contain spill using socks or booms/ berms
- Cover the liquid with absorbent pads or mats
- Finish with granular absorbent.
5. Collect & Dispose
- Dispose of used absorbents and PPE in the provided disposal bags.
- Seal and label waste as per workplace or EPA disposal regulations.
